One primary focus is changing the social and spiritual landscape of Kenya and East Africa through compassion, church growth, peace building, and leadership development.

Through the vision and leadership of Bishop David and Joyce Thagana, Glory Outreach Assembly has been ministering in Kenya and East Africa for over 25 years. Thousands of at-risk children and orphans have been impacted, over 135 churches have been planted, more than thirty thousand leaders have been trained, and hundreds of thousands have been impacted by the transformative power of Jesus Christ.

CHILDREN’S HOMES
Every child deserves a future and a home. GOA is dedicated to providing this for vulnerable and at-risk children, especially orphans, in Kenya. Currently, dozens of children need sponsorship and through your generosity their lives can be changed.

Missions to the Unreached
The GOA church growth team reaches out to the unreached people groups with the gospel of Jesus Christ and plants churches among the communities. The communities that we have intentionally reached in the unreached areas of Kenya include the Maassai, Samburu, Turkana, the Orma, the Borana among others. These communities are located in the dry regions of Kenya where access to basic needs is a challenge.
Church Planting
We partner with international and local communities in putting up churches for the communities to help them get a place of communal worship for all. Our goal has always been trying our best to ensure that all the communities are able to worship in decent places of worship
Sports Evangelism
GOA Supports teams of young sports people as a way of reaching them with the transforming power of the Gospel Of Jesus Christ. Currently in Kenya, we support Teams in Floorball, Soccer, Rollball. These target groups of people who spend more of their time in the fields and have no one to speak to them about the word of God.
PEACE BUILDING
Group Counseling
Our team also assists groups, such as staff teams from our institutions with counseling sessions that help grow their work relations and boost work morale. We also help address conflicts among groups of people from different places such as work places people groups.
Individual Counseling
Many members of our societies go through circumstances that leave the devastated and frustrated. Some have suicidal thoughts and feel like they have lost their value. These include young people as well as the elderly in our society. As a result many of them have found their worth and appreciated their role in the society.
Family Building Strategies
Our family building strategies include after wedding follow ups. To make this effective our teams hold regular married couples events that help couples learn from each other and also grow their marriage. These include our annual Couples retreat held every February and other couples seminars and retreats help in different parts in our regions.
Education
Some of the communities that we carry out our peace initiatives have limited or no access to key facilities such as Education. Our peace initiatives seek to support access to basic Education by members of such communities. Such include, Nkirashi Education Centre in Laikipia among the Samburu, Nabwelpus Education Centre in Turkana and Naotin Adult Education Centre.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
ILI Leadership Training
GOA Partners with International leadership institute to offer the eight core values training to practicing leaders. The training is offered at regional level in the regional conference that takes a maximum of three days and the National level which takes a full week at a training centre. The ILI leadership training is a globally accredited leadership training.
Theological Training
In order to help Our church leaders, members and pastors grow their understanding of the word of God, GOA Offers Theological training through the GOA Global University in Kenya and Burundi. We offer, certificate, Diploma and Bachelors degree course.
History Makers Leadership Training
GOA Partners with International leadership institute to offer the eight core values training to emerging leaders, this group has young people between the ages of 15 - 35. The training is offered at regional level in the regional conference that takes a maximum of three days and the National level which takes a full week at a training centre. The History Makers leadership training is a globally accredited leadership training.
Consistent Bible Reading (CBR)
Consistent Bible Reading (CBR)Program helps members of the body of Christ to read the Bible consistently, everyday without skipping any part of the Bible. To help this succeed, GOA partners with The CBR fellowship to train members of the church in Consistent Bible Reading
Post-Secondary Program
The post-secondary department works hand in hand with the compassion department to offer an exit strategy for the children in the home. Our vision is to see a smooth transition of the children from the orphanages to colleges and universities where they will develop their careers and finally lead independent lives that embody godly leadership.
We currently have 55 students pursuing their visions and dreams Seventeen of whom have joined in the year 2019. 16 students have already completed their college and sustaining themselves independently.
